The new Porsche 911 Turbo S 992.2
The most powerful 911 ever, making 701 horsepower from a 3.6-litre twin-turbo flat-six engine. It loses 0.1 litres of displacement compared to its 3.7-litre predecessor, gains roughly 70 kilos, but makes up for it with 61 more horsepower and a 0.2 second quicker 0 to 100 km/h time than its 2025 brother.

A hybrid?!
Yes, the new Turbo S is a hybrid, but at least a hybrid done right. The hybrid system is only there to fill in the gaps between shifts and to make sure the turbo is always spinning fast enough to deliver maximum boost, so no fully electric driving. With its electrically assisted turbo and a small electric motor helping to fill the gaps, it cuts its already mind-blowing 0 to 100 time by another 0.2 seconds, bringing it down to 2.4 seconds. With just a small 1.9 kWh battery, the Turbo S gains about 70 kilos, bringing its curb weight to around 1700 kilos in total.

The details
It now runs wider rear tyres and the biggest brakes ever fitted to a two-door Porsche, with 420 mm discs up front and 410 mm at the rear, helping to manage that extra weight. It’s also the 911 with the most active aero elements ever: diffuser flaps, brake cooling flaps, an upgraded adaptive spoiler lip, and an extended rear wing. The 992.2 now uses electric roll control (ehPDCC) to keep it even flatter through corners. And last but not least, the Turbo S now comes with a titanium exhaust as standard, saving a few kilos while making it sound even better.

A real upgrade?
Yes. Sadly we haven’t been able to drive it ourselves yet, but by the looks of it, it will certainly be another home run. And it’s a real upgrade: hybrid tech implemented as it should be, and in true Porsche style not one big dramatic change but lots of small, obsessive upgrades that make a huge difference together — kind of like adding the final details to an already existing masterpiece.
