How the polish king finally got his crown

Robert Kubica has finally won Le Mans after years of setbacks and determination.
His victory stands as the pinnacle of a career defined by raw talent, resilience, and an unbreakable spirit. What began as a promising path in Formula 1 was suddenly interrupted by a devastating rally crash in 2011. The accident caused severe injuries to his right arm, making a return to top-level racing seem almost impossible.
Still, Kubica refused to give up. After years of recovery and rehabilitation, he gradually returned to motorsport. He started with smaller series and testing roles, eventually making a full comeback to Formula 1 with Williams in 2019. Though his performance was limited by physical constraints, his courage and determination earned him widespread respect.
Following his stint in Formula 1, Kubica shifted his focus to endurance racing. In the LMP2 category, he quickly proved his skill and leadership. At the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2021, he was on course to win with Team WRT, only to suffer a heartbreaking mechanical failure on the final lap.
Rather than be defeated, Kubica continued. He joined AF Corse and steadily built momentum in the World Endurance Championship. In 2024, he returned to Le Mans with a clear goal. Through teamwork, strategy, and flawless driving, he overcame rain, pressure, and fierce competition at Circuit de la Sarthe.
Kubica took the final stint and brought the car home in first place. It was a moment of redemption and triumph. Years of pain and effort led to this historic result. Robert Kubica, against all odds, became a Le Mans winner at last.
