a Frontrow Lockout

a Toyota 1-2

The last HyperPole session of the year with an amazing result for Toyota, the #7 Driven by Kamui Kobayashi and the #8 driven by Brendon Hartley securing the best positions to hopefully take their first win in 2025. A 1:46.826 set by Kobayashi secured them the best spot on the grid.

Also a very solid result for team Peugeot, with the #94 rounding out the top 3 and the #93 qualified in 4th, just falling 3 tenths short to match the Toyotas. Finishing of the top 5 is the #12 Hertz Cadillac.

A little surprising as only 1 Ferrari made it through to HyperPole. The #51 with Antonio Giovinazzi behind the wheel was the only Ferrari that made the cut, in the end finishing 7th. Both the #50 and the #83 were not able to find rhythm in pre-qualifying, in the end just falling short by 0.039 and 0.049 of a second in 11th and 12th.

LMGT3

In the GT3 it was the #78 Akkodis Lexus that took pole. Finn Gehrsitz with an incredible lap setting a 2:01.661 setting himself 3 tenths apart from the competition. Securing 2nd and 3rd are the #60 & #61 Iron Lynx Mercedes duo. It's going to be tough for the Akkodis team as both Mercedes GT3’s showed a magnificent race pace in the free practice sessions.

In pursued of the title it is the #21 Ferrari struck the first strike. Although 8th in class isn't the best result, it still is 9 places ahead of the #92 Manthey Racing Porsche. The #92 Porsche, still leading the championship by 11 points, will have some work to do tomorrow.

So that is the final qualifying session done for the year, let's hope we get a spectacle of a race to finish the season on a high!
