6hrs of Fuji HyperPole:
Alex Lynn does it again!

Cadillac front row lock out
Alex Lynn does it again for Cadillac! The Cady’s with a front row lock out carrying the momentum from FP3 into the HyperPole session. Lynn setting a mighty 1.28.236 being 4 tenths quicker the #38 Cady driven by Earl Bamber. Speaking about carrying momentum, after going into HyperPole as the best man in pre-qualifying Marco Sorensen in the #009 Aston Martin Valkyrie finishing 3de showing us the Valkyrie’s pace is real this weekend.
Peugeot just fell short of the top 3, by only 0.011 of a second. Although 4th is a solid result they for sure had hoped for a spot on the front row after a really strong Friday. BMW #20 starting 5th with the #51 Ferrari in 6th. 7th taken up by the #5 Porsche driven by Julien Andlauer putting in some very solid times with a car that has been a handful this weekend. Toyota on the other hand will have a bit of a bitter taste, 8th not too bad but they for sure had hoped to start further up the grid, especially with the solid race pace they had this morning. The #35 Alpine starting 9th, and finishing of the top 10 is the #83 with a lap by Robert Kubica.
Barrichello’s Glory
Eduardo Barrichello took pole position with a stunning lap. For most of the session it looked like the McLarens or Corvette would be running away with it, but after a lap that was more precise than a Swiss watch Barrichello claimed top spot by only 0.030. The young driver already having an amazing first season in LMGT3, this must have felt extra special with dad Rubens watching from the pit box. Both McLarens taking 2th and 3th narrowly missed out, but having all to play for tomorrow. 4th taken by the heart of racing Aston Martin closely followed by the Manthey Porsche. In 6th and 7th we see both Corvette’s, although not to bad they most likely had the feeling they could have been a bit higher up. Finishing of the top 10, in 8th we have the #54 Ferrari, 9th the 88 Proton Ford and the #21 Ferrari.
Where is Lexus?
Coming as a bit of a surprise both Lexuses were eliminated in qualifying up to HyperPole, showing really promising pace, especially race pace, they only managed 13th and 15th. A really underwhelming result, but again with all to play for tomorrow.
This was qualifying for the 6 hours of Fuji, an incredible close qualifying in GT3 and a very interesting mix of Hyperscars with a strong race pace will for sure make for an interesting race tomorrow!
