6hrs of Fuji FP2:
Peugeot's Momentum

PPMLogo16B9.png

The French go on:

With the Temperatures higher then in fp1 teams got to work in Fuji. a quiet uneventful but productive session with again Peugeot Taking Top spot. Mikkel Jensen setting a 1.29.495 only being faster by 0.017 of a second than the #5 Porsche Penke. The #009 Valkyrie making a very solid 3de with just 0.047 seconds behind the leading Deen. 4th and 5th taken up by Toyota and Alpine make for a very interesting mix of teams in the top 5. In a weekend where the Ferrari’s and Cadillac's are having a difficult time it really shows teams are giving it 110% with most teams still looking for their first win in 2025.

The only incident of the session with the #20 BMW Hypercar going wide and just clipping a billboard, having to go in for repairs but quickly continued its way. a bit of bad luck with still some work to do only managing p17.

LMGT3: Where Toyo…..Lexus shines

In GT3 it's the other Lexus of the Akkodis ASP Team finishing first in class, this time with the #87 going ahead setting a 1.41.431, Now with both cars switching of 1st places it promises to be a good weekend for the French based team. The #59 United AutoSport McLaren splitting both Lexuses taking p2 after a steady p3 in fp1.

Hopeful

So with the second free practice season out of the way, we now know it looks to be an interesting weekend, with the usual front runners struggling in the hyper car class, and the complete GT3 grid within 1 second of each other! We'll be looking forward to tomorrow’s hyperpole session.
